Hiking trips: success & failure

Hahahahhahahahha and I thought I would blog more regularly in 2019. Guess not lmao. Still won't give up tho cuz it's my blog's 10th birthday this year! One of my greatest strengths is my perseverance (with things I like), if I do say so myself HAHA


The first and official Kapz hiking trip was when we hiked up Lepoh with QL back in September 2018. 8 months passed before we finally broke the hiatus. It started during our cg badminton night when QY made the suggestion to hike lol we wanted to hike Kanching Waterfalls. Persuaded AC and WH to come along heheh and oooh I'm glad we went!

This entire thing was suggested by LQY, and we agreed to meet up at church at 7am. But boi, 8am liao also haven't come. We were like, "are we here to see 赞美操???" hahahah in the end, we just drove to QY's house and banged on his door to wake him up cuz he even turned off his phone TSK.

Anyways, all was well. We arrived at around 9am? 

Hikers: QY, YJ, AC, WH and YS

This is an easy hike since there's no "real" mountain path. They're all just stairs but they're hella steep lah sooo not exactly suitable for elders. Maybe because we haven't exercised for a while but we kept stopping along the way to catch our breathes HAHA there are a few different mini waterfalls and pools along the way so that's cool.

We arrived at the big waterfall at the top within an hour. And yoooo it's a big reward for little effort! It's probably the biggest waterfall I've ever seen (which isn't saying much cuz I've only seen a few lmao but ye) and sitting on the rocks at the pool is soooo nice. There's a cool breeze coming from the waterfall and it's just very relaxing. It was wonderful, ok.

the water was freezinggggg cold.

Fueled by our hiking success, we began to look up more places to hike on the net and we stumbled upon Puchong Hill which houses the Blue Lagoon ahhhh. This time, lots more hikers came along, even Yixin eh hahhahahha but guess whaaaaat. It was an EPIC FAIL. Amazing.

We walked & hiked nonstop for 3 hours. So freaking tiring, my legs were about to give up on me. We were also almost lost cuz we couldn't escape the "lake" area. Tbh I wasn't worried at all at the time lol cuz I fully trust that YA and QY will find a way out hahahahaha

Also, srsly applaud yixin because he could actually catch up with us. Unexpectedly showed off his athletic prowess? HAHA anyways, we found out we started on the wrong trail right from the beginning. :-)))))) feeling 不甘愿 cuz of our mistake caused by lack of research ha. NEXT TIME.

Hiking makes me realise just how unfit I was, and still am.
